Novaseq
Illumina's most powerful, simple, extensible and reliable high-throughput sequencing so far.

High accuracy

realizing massive parallel sequencing of billions of DNA fragments while effectively reducing error and detection loss caused by repeated nucleotide chains by sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) technique.

Amazing throughput

The NovaSeq series uses the patterned flow cell whose first adopter is HiSeq X system. But compared with the HiSeq X system, the NovaSeq system has higher nanopore density. As a result, the NovaSeq system has significantly higher running throughput. In the dual-flow-channel running mode, one-time running data output can hit 6T, indicating mass data are available.

Top speed

the latest high-performance imaging and Illumina’s new-generation flow cell technique are combined together to create outstanding optical elements available for high-speed scanning at high resolution. Compared with the HiSeq X system, the NovaSeq system scans markedly faster.

Throughput flexibility

at the moment, four different flow cells are provided: SP, S1, S2 and S4. Through a flexible combination of flow cells, different sequencing study needs can be satisfied whenever possible.
